Zhexuan (Katherine) Hu recently (at the time of writing this) graduated from Parsons School of Design, where she launched her namesake label as a sophomore. From the outset, her work revived a lost sensibility of romantic, elegant, and unapologetically feminine womenswear. Her designs, ranging from corsets to sweeping gowns, are marked by distinctive silhouettes that demand a certain intentionality to style. This slight learning curve is deliberate: Katherine creates pieces that reflect her uncompromising personal vision, marrying historical forms of femininity with contemporary production techniques.
