Description
Jugaad is a Hindi word for resourceful, improvised problem-solving using limited means.
'The Ulster Coat' is an experiment in jugaad: the Toward(s) team sought to use undyed fabric to create a 'dyed' appearance. Their solution: spinning seven undyed yarns together into a single continuous thread, allowing subtle variations in texture and shade to coalesce into a uniform beige tone. The result creates the illusion of dyed color without dyeing the fibers at all.
