Founded in Seoul by Dongjoon Lim and Sookyo Jeong in 2018, Post Archive Faction (PAF) treats the familiar wardrobe as a starting point for continuous revision. Lim’s background in industrial and spatial design informs an approach grounded in construction, function, and the possibilities of rearranging existing forms. Technical outerwear, shirting, and trousers are reworked through asymmetric seams, unexpected openings, and adjustable structures that change how a garment sits on the body. At the center of PAF’s design ethos is a practical question: how much can a familiar garment evolve while retaining the qualities that make people want to wear it? PAF’s AW26 collection, “Drifter,” considers how a silhouette originally designed with utility in mind becomes classic. The season combines technical construction with fluid proportions, using curved lines, openings, and layered panels to change how garments sit and move on the body. The collection advances PAF’s pursuit of a “New Classic”: familiar enough for everyday use while challenging us to reconsider the forms we take for granted.
