Description
The State of Ball is a short film, inspired by designer Yu Dong’s very first woodworking assignment. From a simple disk, now a wooden sphere wrapped in DOYS’s waxed cowhide, Yu Dong’s woodworking project becomes the protagonist in the film. The ball is treated with a white wax finish, developing a luminous sheen through contact, which records the sphere’s interactions with its surroundings on its surface.

About
The Turin Project was Doys's first footwear project. It composed a constraint of creating just two shoe lasts. One last that is repurposed in three ways: as a derby, a boot, and itself, a clog. The other a high heel.
Normally divided into upper, midsole, and outsole on the production sheet, Doys refused to compartmentalize these three elements. Instead, the brand treated the outsole and upper as a singular sculpture, where the design of both the upper and the outsole of each shoe is inseparable.
