About
BIBLIOTHERK is a Japanese menswear label founded by Ryunosuke Hata. The name merges “bibliothek”, German for library, with “R,” Hata’s first initial. Born in Buenos Aires and raised between Shibuya and Amsterdam, Hata found solace in libraries—quiet spaces that bridged cultural boundaries.
BIBLIOTHERK reflects that same cultural neutrality. Rather than drawing from specific references, its designs focus on abstract shapes and patterns. Though still young, the brand has quickly defined the image of "contemporary menswear" through structured tailoring and inventive hardware usage.
